View of the vineyard where we grow both root stock and grapes of several varieties |
|
| Taking the same commitment to quality in
growing grapes as we do in producing our rootstock cuttings, Brigadoon
Vineyards combines many traditional old world practices with modern
cutting-edge techniques. From a vertical shoot-thinned trellis for our
pinot noir to a simple high wire curtain for our new pinot blanc planting,
all of our cultural practices focus on growing fruit that allows an
expression of place. We are equally committed to the soils we farm, and continue our involvement in sustainable farming through LIVE (Low Input Viticulture/Enology) and Salmon Safe. Our handshake collaboration with winemaker Jerry Sass of Sass Winery gives us a single vineyard-designated label, where each individual vintage is allowed the opportunity to speak for itself. We feel the fruit we grow should express not only our commitment to quality, but also the warmth of the afternoon sun, the richness of our soil, and the beauty of Brigadoon Vineyards. |
